Ludwig & Ludwig drum -----WWII parade snare. 100% original. The badge dates to the 30's, but the stamp inside reads 4206, which should be 1942. I'd guess Ludwig was using up older parts because of the war. You be the judge. 15" diameter, 10" deep. Orange laquered finish. 8 lugs. Note: these are NOT single tension lugs. They are standard double tension snare lugs. This drum is clean! Some very light weather checking in the finish. All of the lugs have some of the chrome worn off. Looks like it was primarily due to rubbing on the inside of the canvas bag. Original calf heads top and bottom! No cracks, splits, or other damage. Over all pretty amazing condition for being over 60 years old! This drum was used in parades all over Milwaukee during WWII.
